Welcome to Two Byte Games
Hi, we’re Two Byte Games, a small cozy indie studio founded in 2025 by Ghost and Antonella.
We’re a married duo building cozy and sometimes corky casual games. This devlog is where we’ll share that journey, not just the highlights, but the real process behind the scenes. We will also have dedicated devlogs for each game title we work on. This devlog is meant as an overall studio devlog.
Who we are
We’re both drawn to quiet moments, strong moods, and games that feel personal rather than overwhelming. We believe games can be spaces to slow down, reflect, and feel grounded, especially in a world that constantly asks you to rush.
Two Byte Games exists because we wanted to build games our way, without chasing trends or scale for the sake of it.

The engine behind our games
All of our projects are built using Lucid, our in-house game engine.
Lucid wasn’t created to compete with large engines or to be everything to everyone. It was built specifically to support the kind of experiences we care about: cozy pacing, atmospheric visuals, thoughtful interactions, and fast iteration for a tiny team.
As we grow, Lucid grows with us, shaped by the needs of our games and our workflow as creators.

Our first release
In late 2025, we released our first small experience: Endless Halloween.
It’s a cozy spooky puzzle adventure set inside a mysterious house, designed to be low-tension and satisfying. It’s the kind of game you play when you want something atmospheric without pressure, and it taught us an incredible amount about shipping, polish, and player experience.
Endless Halloween is just the beginning.
A look back at our first year
To close out 2025, we shared an end-of-year devlog on YouTube where we talked openly about:
- how Two Byte Games started
- what we built in our first year
- what went right (and what didn’t)
- and what we learned along the way
If you want a more personal, visual look at our journey so far, you can watch it here:

Looking ahead to 2026
In 2026, our focus is on:
- Start of Development for our Wizard Life-Simulator
- More small experiences
- Continuing development on Lucid Engine
- Sharing more of our process through devlogs
- Growing the community
We’re keeping our scope realistic, our goals grounded, and our attention on quality over speed.
Community matters to us
We don’t want Two Byte Games to feel like a one-way broadcast.
We’re building a small, cozy community where players and fellow developers can hang out, share thoughts, ask questions, and follow along with what we’re making.
If that sounds like your kind of space, you’re always welcome in our Discord.
How you can support us
Because we’re a very small indie studio, support makes a real difference.
If you enjoy what we’re building and want to help us continue:
- You can support us monthly (for ongoing development)
- Or make a one-time contribution if that feels better
Both options help fund development time, tools, and the space we need to keep building intentionally, and we’re deeply grateful for either.
You can also support us simply by:
- Playing our games
- Sharing them with friends
- Joining the community
- Being here at the start
Thanks for being here
This devlog is just getting started. We’re excited to share what we’re learning, what we’re building, and what comes next, together.
