A Small Shift.. And A Bigger Vision
If you’ve noticed we’ve been a little quiet lately, that’s intentional.
Over the past months, I’ve been scaling down on purpose. Health and life obstacles forced me to slow down, and instead of pushing through with stress or burnout, I chose to step back and make smarter long-term decisions.
That does not mean Two Byte Games is over.
If anything, it’s only just beginning.
Two Byte isn’t built on rush or pressure. It’s built on intention. And I can’t create meaningful experiences if I’m not operating at 100%. Burnout leads to rushed ideas, half-finished systems, and games that don’t reflect the standard we want to set.
That’s not what we’re here to build.
A Clearer Identity
As we grow, our direction becomes clearer.
Two Byte Games is no longer just “cozy.”
Going forward, our focus is:
Stylized indie games focused on clever systems, distinct worlds, and meaningful experiences.
This shift gives us room to explore more creatively while staying true to who we are.
What this means:
- Stylized / low-poly visual direction
- No extreme gore or shock value
- Space to explore warmth and darker themes
- Systems when they matter, simplicity when they don’t
- Thoughtful design over trend chasing
We’re not abandoning cozy, we’re expanding beyond a single label.

Building for the Long Term
Throughout 2026, development continues behind the scenes.
A major focus will remain on Lucid Engine, our in-house game engine. Lucid gives us control, flexibility, and the ability to design systems intentionally instead of forcing ideas into someone else’s framework.
As the engine grows, so does the quality and ambition of what we can create with it.
At the same time, we’ll be designing our larger feature titles carefully and deliberately.
A Small Release This Year?
I would like to release a smaller experience on Steam this year, something scoped for roughly 1–3 months of development.
No promises yet.
But the goal is to ship something tight, focused, and polished, a small but meaningful step forward.
A Slower Pace On Purpose
You may not see frequent updates.
That’s intentional.
We’re prioritizing:
- Sustainable development
- Smart scope decisions
- Quality over noise
- Long-term studio health
Two Byte Games is not a sprint. It’s something we’re building carefully, with intention.
Thank You
If you’re still here, thank you.
Building a studio takes patience. It takes recalibration. It takes honest adjustments.
Two Byte Games is evolving. Not shrinking. Not disappearing.
Evolving.
More updates soon, just not on a stress-driven schedule.
